Despite its imposing appearance from below, the trail to the summit of Volandstind is one of the easiest hikes in Lofoten.
The majority of the trail has a gentle incline with a few rocky sections, but the final push to the top can be tricky in winter or wet conditions.
Nevertheless, the breathtaking panoramic views from the summit make the effort worth it, and the hike is considered a great introduction to hiking on Lofoten.
