We’re an international couple with a unique blend of perspectives—Ivar, a Norwegian, can offer the local’s take on everything. At the same time, Radka, originally from the Czech Republic, knows exactly what catches the eye of visitors and can share interesting insights.
We usually guide these tours together, with Radka leading the storytelling and Ivar behind the wheel. That way, we can even tackle those spots where parking is usually a hassle. But sometimes, it’s just one of us—or occasionally, another experienced local guide—making sure every tour runs smoothly and with the same personal touch.
With us, your Lofoten adventure is all about what matters to you—no stress, just a relaxed, fun exploration of our beautiful Lofoten islands.
On our private sightseeing tour from Svolvaer, you can expect a day that’s all about discovering the best of Lofoten in a relaxed and personal way.
We’ll take you to some of our favorite spots, sharing local stories and insider tips. When you join us, you won’t just hear facts—you’ll gain real insights into what life is like in Lofoten. We’re always happy to chat about everything from local traditions to how we deal with long polar nights or autumn storms.

We’re a small, family-run local company, run by two people, offering private tours for up to 8 guests. Private tours are planned specifically around you — your timing, route, and preferences. Compared to larger, high-volume operators, last-minute changes have a much bigger impact on us.
We also operate in Arctic Norway, on weather-exposed islands where conditions can change quickly and play a major role in whether a tour can safely run.
When a private tour is cancelled, it’s often not possible to find a replacement booking on short notice. This means the vehicle is reserved, the guide is scheduled, and the day is blocked, even though the tour is no longer happening. To run our business sustainably and keep our schedule predictable, we need a reasonable time window to adapt — which is why our private tour cancellation policy works the way it does.
Even when a tour is cancelled by the guest, there are still costs involved on our side (payment processing, booking fees, vehicle allocation, and staff planning). These costs are non-refundable for us.
👉 Life happens, we get it!
You can cancel your private tour up to 30 days before departure and receive a refund minus a 5% transaction fee, which covers payment and booking costs we can’t recover in case of a guest-initiated cancellation.
👉 If you cancel your booking between 30 and 14 days before departure, you will receive a 50% refund.
👉 If you cancel your booking less than 14 days before departure, or do not show up at the agreed pick-up point and time, no refund will be given.
👉 From our side, if the weather turns too rough to safely run the tour, we may need to cancel it. In that case, we will offer to reschedule, suggest an alternative plan, or issue a full refund.
👉 Life happens on our side too.
In the rare case that we need to cancel due to operational reasons (vehicle issues, guide illness, road closures, accidents, or closed bridges), you will of course receive a full refund.
⚠️ If you’re not able to join the tour due to flight cancellations, illness, road closures, or similar circumstances, we completely understand. We’re happy to provide any paperwork you need for your travel insurance. Please note that these situations are not covered by our cancellation policy and should be claimed through your insurance (make sure it includes trip interruption or cancellation coverage).
Thank you for your understanding and for supporting a small local business ❤️

Absolutely! We recently had an amazing one-year-old join us, and the flexibility of a private tour allowed us to adjust the itinerary around his nap times, keeping him happy throughout the day. We also have a baby-friendly child seat and seat boosters for older kids.
Definitely! The tour is completely customizable. We’ll chat with you about what you’d like to see, whether it’s beaches, fishing villages, or cultural sites, and we’ll plan the perfect route together.
Food is not included, but we can definitely make a stop at a restaurant, café, or food truck based on your preferences. We also provide a classic Norwegian treat—Kvikk Lunsj chocolate!
We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred date, but feel free to reach out for last-minute availability—we’ll do our best to accommodate you!
Our private tours are designed for small groups of up to six people, ensuring a personalized and relaxed experience. However, we can accommodate up to 7-8 guests in our car.
We cover parking fees, but entrance fees to certain attractions (like Nusfjord fishing village or the Viking museum) are not included in the tour price. We’ll discuss this with you when planning the itinerary.
We know that tipping is common in the US, but here in Norway, it’s a bit different. While tips are always appreciated, they’re absolutely not expected, and we won’t be insulted in any way if you choose not to tip. We’re just happy you joined us on the tour and had a great time exploring Lofoten with us!
Sadly, no, our tour is not fully wheelchair accessible. However, we’ve had elderly guests with limited mobility join us, and they managed just fine with a few adjustments.
