HOW TO HIKE REINEBRINGEN

Reinebringen, undoubtedly the most popular hike in Lofoten, offers a panoramic view that will leave you breathless. Thanks to the sherpa stairs, the hike is technically easy during the summer.

Do not attempt to climb Reinebringen in winter. The trail is steep, icy, and leads through avalanche terrain, which makes it very dangerous. We wrote a separate article on why we strongly advice against hiking Reinebringen in winter.

If the parking at Steffenakken is full, use the (paid) parking in the village of Reine.

Distance: 5 km (out and back)

Elevation Gain: 450 meters

Duration: 2-3 h (out and back)

Difficulty: Easy/Moderate

Starting point: Paid parking in Reine, limited free parking at Steffenakken.

The parking situation for Ryten and Kvalvika has become increasingly challenging in recent years. The small parking spot located at Reinehalsen became only a short term parking. There is a paid parking place in Reine Ytre Havn and at the Cultural center.
